After remastering an old track, I found out that I still had the spark for writing new material, so that is what eventually became the Bittersweet EP. Sadly, I had to put it on the backburner for a while because life got in the way, but after picking up a guitar one night at a party, I realiSed how much I missed it and so I started up again. Now without a band I was lost without output for my creativity, so I began to painstakingly turn my bedroom into a recording studio. ![]() Eventually, we split after creative differences and general drama. The students didn’t know why we were there and to be honest we didn’t either. We would play tons of shows, the weirdest one we ever did was at an Agricultural college. We used to do a few covers but we mainly focussed on writing our own material. We hit it off pretty much straight away and were very ambitious. After driving my parents crazy, I decided to join a band when I left school. I started out like pretty much any other teenager, I got my first guitar and instantly wanted to be a rockstar. Introduce yourself and your musical history? Also means I only must rely on myself, I can play and record as and when I want. I mean it’s not necessarily a bad thing, if we were all the same, the world would be a boring place, right? I just find I work better on my own. When I was in a band, we wrote some great songs, but I always found the creative differences to be the most challenging issue a band must overcome. Mainly the power of full creative control.
